Bunch of habits I picked up lately that have helped me plan my time better and deal with procrastination effectively. Thought I’d share them with y’all!
1️. Eisenhower Matrix
Using Eisenhower Matrix for identifying the urgent and important tasks and getting rid of the dead weight tasks.
2️. Time blocks
Setting specific time and time periods (e.g. 3–4pm to reply to emails) for different tasks and adding them to my google calendar (with reminders enabled). This helps me navigate the day better and I get rid off all the distractions (especially my phone) for those specific time periods.
It also helps me understand and estimate how much time I’ll require to finish certain set of tasks. Another tip, mix up difficult and easy tasks, finishing the easy stuff — striking it off that to-do list will motivate you to move on to the next thing and finish that as well 💪🏻
3️. Short mindfulness breaks during the day to help me refocus.
Here’s an easy mindfulness exercise: stop and bring your focus to all your different 5 senses- observe what you are seeing right now, what can you hear, feel, taste, smell? This should do the trick!
(Will share couple more quick and useful mindfulness exercises that have helped me soon)
Let me know if any of this information helps y’all, happy to share more 💁🏻♀️
